MY PROFESSIONAL BIO
Hi! I’m Isabella Liu, a high school chemistry and mathematics teacher. I am currently teaching science and AP chemistry in Toronto, Ontario, and I have taught students in three different countries, including Hong Kong and Nanjing, China. I’m a lifelong learner and passionate about emerging educational technologies to enhance students' learning. I have established experience working in secondary education and non-profit industries. Through my learning journey with technology, I became an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Google for Education Certified Trainer, and a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow in implementing their professional development program for educators around the world.
Over the years, I have learned the importance of choosing the right tools for my learners. Through this platform, I hope to share my expertise in using technology to help engage students in new ways. You’ll find tips and tutorials, teaching inspiration, and resources to support you in the classroom.

My Academic Philosophy
I am a nationally and internationally recognized science teacher with 10 years of experience teaching IB Chemistry, AP Chemistry internationally and in Ontario, Canada, so I understand the academic, emotional, and social needs of educators and students.

I joined a roundtable discussion with educators around the world that is moderated by Dr. Vicki Phillips, the Chief Education Officer of National Geographic Society at the time, on our experiences teaching during the pandemic.
