Targeted and Tailored Tutoring to Meet Your Academic Needs

AP Chemistry & IB DP Chemistry Tutoring

I specialize in tutoring high school students from various academic programs: Ontario (SCH3U, SCH4U), Advanced Placement, and the International Baccalaureate. Online chemistry tutoring sessions last an hour and consist of working through assignments from school, including lab reports, as well as working through tailored practice problems and exam sets. I offer three formats of chemistry tutoring: 1:1, group and intensive.

  • With growing class sizes, chemistry learning is not tailored. These sessions are intended for learners who wish to supplement their high school chemistry classes with additional support.

  • Working with assigned peers in the classroom can be daunting and anxiety-inducing. These sessions are tailored for students who learn best in group settings and would benefit from peer support. Due to the virtual learning model, 2-4 people per session is more effective.

  • With impending summatives looming, stress and anxiety levels are high. These sessions are intended for learners who wish to clarify misconceptions and prepare for a summative (lab report, exam, tests) in a condensed format.

Answers to Your Commonly Asked Questions

  • I use Google Meet to facilitate my online tutoring sessions. The reason being that Google Meet is not application-based, so it does not require participants to install proprietary software before the sessions.

  • Depending on your student’s schedule, the online tutoring sessions typically take place after school, during the week.

  • For private and group sessions, the minimal investment is 4 sessions. The hourly tutoring rate is $150/session. I strive to make my offerings more accessible to marginalized communities that have been traditionally underserved by the system. If this price is a barrier for you, please reach out.

  • Every student learns at a different pace and success looks differently amongst students. Your student’s success should not be comparable to others. My students strive to gain a deeper understanding of chemistry concepts and better exam taking skills so that they are successful in taking tests and exams.

  • As the tutoring sessions are virtual, students outside of Toronto are welcome to join.
